Halle Berry was born on 14th August, 1966 in Cleveland Ohio. Her mother is a retired psychiatric nurse is a Caucasian and her father was a hospital attendant, later became a bus driver is an African - American. She even has an elder sister named Heidi Berry. The sisters raised by their mother after their parents were divorced. She was then four years old. Graduating from the Bedford High School she went for her higher studies at Cuyahoga Community College. During late nineties, Berry started taking part in various beauty contests and in 1985, she won Miss Teen All-American. The following year, she won Miss Ohio, USA. In the same year she became the first runner-up in Miss USA pageant. In 1989, while shooting for a television series named Living Dolls, Berry passed into coma and later was diagnosed with diabetes.
